The Ultimate Gameplay WiKi

Welcome, future Token Thief! Get ready to dive into a world of high-stakes heists where your goal is to become the most notorious and wealthy thief of them all.

1

Rob

Attack another player's Vault to steal their $LOOT. The amount you can steal and the speed of your robbery depend on your personal Tier.

2

Collect

All stolen $LOOT is added to your temporary "Pockets," which have a limited carrying capacity.

3

Secure

You must deposit the loot from your Pockets into your own secure "Vault" to protect it and increase your standing.

Core Gameplay

The core gameplay loop is simple yet strategic:

  • Rob: Attack another player's Vault to steal their $LOOT. The amount you can steal and the speed of your robbery depend on your personal Tier.
  • Collect: All stolen $LOOT is added to your temporary "Pockets," which have a limited carrying capacity.
  • Secure: You must deposit the loot from your Pockets into your own secure "Vault" to protect it and increase your standing.

As you progress, you'll upgrade your Tier, which increases the capacity of your Vault and Pockets, letting you steal and store more $LOOT. But be warned, other thieves are trying to do the same to you! You can defend your Vault and boost your robberies by purchasing powerful consumable items from the Thief Shop.

These items are bought with $STASH, the game's exclusive hard currency, which you earn passively just by keeping your Vault filled with $LOOT. This creates a dynamic economy where strategic use of shop items can turn the tide of any heist. This guide will break down everything you need to know to master these mechanics, climb the ranks, and become a legendary Token Thief!

I. The Core Currencies: $LOOT & $STASH

Token Thieves operates on a dual-currency system, each playing a vital role in your criminal career.

  • $LOOT (Loot Tokens): This is the primary, free-flowing currency of the game. You'll acquire $LOOT by robbing other players. It's what you steal, what you store, and what determines your rank. The more $LOOT you have in your Vault, the higher your Tier. To kickstart your criminal empire, you'll be rewarded with a handsome 40,000 $LOOT upon completing the onboarding tutorial. You can also rake in more by inviting friends or dominating the Leaderboard contests!
  • $STASH (Stash Tokens): This is the exclusive, premium in-game currency. $STASH cannot be stolen from other players. It's used to purchase powerful consumable items from the Thief Shop that can boost your robbing capabilities or defend your Vault. Running low? $STASH can be purchased with Stars directly in the game. You can also earn it as a prize for crushing the Achievement goals!

Earning $STASH

$STASH is passively generated as a reward for storing $LOOT in your Vault. The generation rate depends on two factors: your League/Tier and how full your Vault is. The more you fill your Vault, the higher the reward multiplier.

Vault Fullness Hourly $STASH Distribution Multiplier
0%0x
0.1% - 10%1x
10% - 20%1.2x
20% - 30%1.3x
30% - 40%1.4x
40% - 50%1.5x
50% - 60%1.6x
60% - 70%1.7x
70% - 80%1.8x
80% - 90%1.9x
90% - 100%2x

Note: You must be active (initiate or stop a robbery) at least once every 24 hours to be eligible for $STASH rewards.

II. Your First Heist: The Tutorial

When you first join the game, you'll be guided through a special tutorial robbery to learn the ropes.

  • Guided Robbery: Your first target will be a Bot, found in a special "Thieves" list. This is a safe way to learn the mechanics without risk.
  • Instant Success: This tutorial robbery is designed to be quick and successful, taking only 30 seconds to complete. The "Run Away" timer will also be 30 seconds, meaning you cannot escape early but will see how the mechanic works.
  • Starting Bonus: Completing the tutorial will grant you a starting bonus of $LOOT to kickstart your career.

III. Your Thief's Career: Leagues and Tiers

The game uses a hierarchical structure to rank players, progressing through Tiers to advance to new Leagues. Your Tier is everything—it dictates your storage capacity, your robbery potential, and your standing in the world.

  • Leagues: Major competitive divisions, each containing multiple Tiers.
  • Tiers: Levels within a League. Progression is based on your Vault capacity.

Here is a look at how your capabilities grow as you advance (values represent a mid-tier example for each league):

IV. Managing Your Fortune: Vault & Pockets

  • Vault: This is your secure storage. $LOOT in your Vault is safer from robberies and generates passive $STASH rewards. Its capacity increases as you level up your Tier.
  • Pockets: This is your temporary, vulnerable storage. All stolen $LOOT goes directly into your Pockets. You must transfer this $LOOT to your Vault to secure it. Pockets have a much smaller capacity than the Vault.
  • Moving Loot: You can transfer $LOOT from your Pockets to your Vault at any time. However, a Tax may be applied to this transfer. This tax funds the $STASH reward pool and the Thief Shop.

V. The Art of the Heist: Robbery Mechanics

Your primary goal is to acquire $LOOT from other players.

  • Initiating a Robbery: You can only rob one target at a time. You cannot see the amount of $LOOT in a target's Vault before you begin.
  • Robbery Duration: A full robbery to extract your maximum allowed loot always takes 20 minutes (1200 seconds) if your pockets are empty. The time decreases if your pockets are already partially full.
  • Escape Clause: You cannot escape a robbery for the first 5 minutes. After this point, you can choose to escape at any time with the $LOOT you've stolen so far, or risk staying for the full duration.
  • Stamina: Every thief starts with 24 Stamina. Each robbery costs 1 Stamina. If your Stamina reaches 0, you cannot initiate new robberies. Stamina regenerates naturally at a rate of +1 per hour, or you can instantly restore it using a "Snack" from the Thief Shop.

League Penalties

To prevent high-level players from farming newcomers, a penalty is applied when robbing players in lower Leagues. The penalty reduces your maximum extraction rate for that robbery.

  • 1 League below: 20% reduction
  • 2 Leagues below: 40% reduction
  • 3 Leagues below: 60% reduction
  • 4 Leagues below: 80% reduction
  • 5+ Leagues below: 90% reduction (Maximum penalty)

Robbery Calculations & Examples

Loot Extraction Rate: Your extraction rate is calculated based on your "Max Robbery Amount" divided by 1200 seconds.

  • Example 1: Empty Pockets. Your max robbery is 40,000 $LOOT. The rate is 40,000 / 1200 seconds = 33.33 $LOOT per second. The full robbery will take 20 minutes.
  • Example 2: Partially Full Pockets. Your max robbery is 40,000 and your pockets have a 40,000 capacity, but they already contain 20,000 $LOOT. You only have space for another 20,000. The time to complete the robbery will be 20,000 / 33.33 = 600 seconds, or 10 minutes.

VI. Getting Caught: Suspicion & Jail Time

Getting caught has serious consequences.

  • Suspicion Points: Every time you are caught during a robbery, you gain +1 Suspicion Point.
  • Jail Risk: Each Suspicion Point adds a +20% chance of being thrown in jail the next time you get caught. This means with 5 points, you have a 100% chance of being jailed.
  • Jail Time: Being jailed puts you out of commission for 5 hours.
  • Removing Suspicion: Suspicion Points decrease naturally at a rate of -1 per hour, or you can instantly clear your record with a "Fake Identity."

VII. Defending Your Turf

When your Vault is being robbed, you'll receive a notification 5 minutes after the robbery begins, giving you a chance to catch the thief.
Here are the four possible outcomes:

  • Thief Not Caught: The thief escapes with 100% of the stolen $LOOT.
  • Thief Caught (After 5 mins): The thief keeps 100% of the stolen $LOOT but gets +1 Suspicion Point.
  • Thief Caught (Before 5 mins): The thief only keeps 50% of the stolen $LOOT and gets +1 Suspicion Point.
  • Thief Jailed: You recover 100% of the stolen $LOOT, and as a bonus, you seize all the $LOOT the thief was holding in their Pockets.

VIII. The Thief's Toolkit: The Shop

Use your hard-earned $STASH to buy powerful consumable items that provide crucial advantages for both offense and defense.

Item Name Price ($STASH) Description & Mechanics
Guard Dog100Every day you get a free Guard Dog that provides 6 hours of safety. You can also purchase Guard Dogs that give 2 hours of safe time. You can stack up to 6 Guard Dogs per day.
Reinforced Vault30Decreases the $LOOT extracted from your Vault by 35%. Provides an extra layer of protection when you are being robbed. Enable this in the Vault menu.
Improved Alarm80Notifies you 2 minutes after a robbery begins. Gives you an early warning to catch a thief. This item can be blocked by a thief using a Decoy.
Decoy50Delays the victim's robbery notification by an additional 2 minutes. Buys you precious time. With a Decoy active, your victim won't be notified of the robbery until 2 minutes have passed. However, this can be overridden by an Improved Alarm.
Huge Bag20Increases Pockets capacity and max robbery amount by 50%. A massive boost for one heist cycle. It increases how much you can carry and how much you can steal. The effect expires after your next deposit to the Vault.
Crowbar20Reduces robbery time by 35%. Get in and get out fast. A Crowbar reduces the time for a full robbery from 20 minutes down to just 13 minutes. Apply it before starting a robbery.
Snack30Instantly restores +5 Stamina. When you run low on Stamina, instead of waiting, grab a Snack to get back to robbing without delay.
Fake ID80Instantly removes 5 Suspicion Points. A clean slate. Use this from the Thief's menu to reduce your risk of getting thrown in jail.

IX. Leveling Up: Progression, Taxes, and Downgrades

  • Upgrading Tier/League: To advance, you must pay a 10% tax on the $LOOT currently in your Vault. Upon upgrading, your Vault capacity, Pockets capacity, and max robbery amount will all increase.
  • Downgrading: If your Vault's $LOOT holdings fall below 5% of its maximum capacity, your League will be automatically downgraded.
  • Notifications: You'll receive a warning when your Vault fullness hits 7% and a final one at 5% before the downgrade occurs.
  • The Floor: Once you reach League 6, you can never be downgraded below it, even if your Vault is empty.

Skipping Leagues with Stars

You can fast-track your progression by paying with Telegram Stars.

  • Entering League 6: Upgrading from League 5 (Tier 15) to League 6 requires a payment in Stars, in addition to the standard 10% $LOOT tax.
  • Skipping Ahead: You can pay Stars to jump to higher leagues at any time. The cost in Stars is dynamic and depends on your current League and the amount of $LOOT in your Vault. The more $LOOT you have, the cheaper the Star cost becomes.
  • Example 1: A player in League 2 with 100,000 $LOOT might pay 100 Stars to jump to League 6, or 180 Stars to jump to League 7.
  • Example 2: A player in League 5 with 10,000,000 $LOOT might only pay 50 Stars to enter League 6, or 100 Stars to jump to League 7.

X. Strength in Numbers: The Referral System

Invite friends to become thieves and earn rewards!

  • Referral Links: Every player gets a unique referral link to share.
  • Rewards: When a friend joins using your link, they receive a starting bonus of $LOOT. You, the referrer, will receive a substantial $LOOT reward once your referred friend successfully completes 5 robberies.

XI. Achievements & Leaderboards

Achievements are your entry to the Leaderboards. Each leaderboard might have a monthly rewards contest with a prize pool, allowing top players to earn additional $LOOT.

  • Sneaky: Total robberies executed.
  • Crafty: Robberies executed without getting caught.
  • Vigilant: Thieves you caught and jailed.
  • Rich: Total amount of $LOOT stolen.
  • Cautious: Robberies you successfully stopped.
  • Sloppy: Times you got caught during a robbery.
  • Sleepy: Accumulated time (in hours) with active Guards.
  • Wanted: How many times someone added you to their Hit-list.

XII. Cashing Out: Withdrawals

  • Eligibility: The withdrawal feature is unlocked only when you reach League 6.
  • By progressing naturally entering the League 6 will only be subject of the standard LOOT tax for upgrade and a fee of 5,000,000 LOOT in Stars.
  • By skipping the line mechanic - you can always progress faster to a selected League, but this will cost you some amount of Telegram Stars. Actual rates - can be seen in the game any time by clicking on the Upgrade button in your Vault and Thief menus.
  • Conversion: You can withdraw your $LOOT in the form of Telegram Stars. The approximate conversion rate is 1,000,000 $LOOT = 77 Stars.
  • You are only entitled to make withdrawals upon reaching League 6.
  • Process: Withdrawals are issued as a gifted badge. You can either keep the badge as an achievement or accept its equivalent value in Stars.
